Just a two and a half-hour drive from the Shannon Airport, three hours from the Dublin Airport and only twenty minutes from the Knock Airport, the ideally located McLaughlin Farm gives you the opportunity to experience Ireland among the warmest, friendliest people anywhere.

Yes, Ireland is a beautiful country, and the West is truly the most picturesque of all. With the farm's central-Mayo position, you can easily tour Galway, Sligo, Roscomon, and all of Mayo with short drives.

A trip to the Aran Islands is just a 75 minute drive to the ferry in Galway. Westport is a 30 minute drive, and Cliveden is 50 minutes, Achill Island (a most wonderful place) is 60 minutes. The 1/2-mile-wide beaches at Enniscrone are just 70 minutes - if you mosey through Ballina to watch the Moy River fishermen catch salmon. And Sligo (Yeats' country) is not much further. The Dublin airport is about the same distance as the Shannon airport. The old Kiltimagh train station shown above is now a local history museum and art center. At one time the last sight for many local emigrees, the station - due to the generosity of Boston's Tom Flatley, formerly of Kiltimagh - has a new life - helping to keep an eye on an age gone by.
